I stayed at Totem in late March and really enjoyed it. My choice had come down to Totem or Azania or Cariblue. I went with Totem primarily because of the sea/beach view. Azania and Cariblue are very close to the beach, but no view of the water. The view and sound of the crashing waves from the 2nd floor beach suite was fantastic. Decent rooms, very big, good food and nice people. One of my great memories of the trip is the morning breakfast, not so much for the food (although it was ok to good) but more for the fact I could grab a coffee in the restaurant and wander across the road to stand on the deserted beach. Nice way to slowly wake up. Stayed at Azania a year ago... my wife and I and another couple loved it. It had a decent, attractive pretty pool and great simple but fresh breakfasts (fruit, eggs, etc). It is a jungle setting and a 2 minute walk to Cocles Beach (same beach as Totem). Totem isn't on the beach either... it is directly across the road. I'd say Azania is definitely more romantic if that's your gig, while Totem a little more lively.

Azania...simple...but nice...my choice! Just buckle up and enjoy the ride in PARADISE!
