Costa Rica may be one of the more Internet-covered destinations I've ever come across. Most of these sites are generated by the voluminous in-country expat community, including detailed sites for practically every area you'd be interested in visiting; more than a few are operated by local realtors and tour operators. Following is a selection of a half-dozen of the foremost sites in English covering both the whole country; once you've identified what areas you'll be visiting within the country, also check out more locally focused (and often even more useful) sites such as Arenal.net, Greencoast.com (for Puerto Viejo/Cahuita/Talamanca coast), MonteverdeInfo.com, MontezumaBeach.com, SamaraBeach.com and Tamarindo.com.
